Nathan is a certified Distressed Property Expert, Investment Agent Specialist and Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, as well as a member of the Million Dollar Guild. Amanda is currently the youngest Abbott involved in the local real estate industry, but her local knowledge and work ethic bring volumes of assets to the team. After graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelors in Studio Art, Amanda moved to Chicago, then New York City. Working in the fashion industry, she handled sales for several regional and international accounts, honing her sales and management skills. In 2011, Amanda moved back to the Emerald Coast and earned her real estate license. She has served as the Listing Coordinator and Marketing Director for the team and now is a Seller Specialist. Amanda is always up-to-date with the current market data and is able to provide insight into the local market.

Rachel joined the Nathan Abbott Team in 2013 as a Buyer Specialist. Originally from England, Rachel has lived on Florida’s Emerald Coast for the past decade with her family. Rachel is well-entrenched in the local area being a long-time community advocate for the under-served and volunteering with several different organizations. Rachel is a designated GRI Realtor and has been selected to serve on the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors Leadership Development Program for 2015.
The Abbotts and Real Estate
The name Abbott is synonymous with real estate along Florida’s Emerald Coast. The Abbott’s have been making real estate their business since 1950 starting with the original Abbott Realtor, William W. Abbott Sr. In 1970, he became a broker and began selling condominiums at El Matador, one of the first condominiums built in northwest Florida. The Abbott’s were involved with premier properties along the Emerald Coast.
Steve and Bill Abbott followed in their father’s footsteps and founded Abbott Realty in 1977 with a $3,000 investment. Combined with an unsurpassed work ethic, this small monetary investment created a multimillion-dollar-a-year company, employing more than 1,000 people and becoming the largest employer in NW Florida since the mid 80s. Abbott Realty was purchased by ResortQuest in 1996.
Nathan and Amanda Abbott are the third generation of Abbott Realtors, currently working with ResortQuest. Although times have changed since the inception of the business in the 70s, its founding principles have remained the same – customer service, knowledge, hard work and dedication.
